To those who know him it’s no surprise that Don Ressler is the successful founder of many startup companies. However it was after Don teamed up with the young Adam Goldenberg to form the ever-popular Intelligent Beauty that they were able to show their true potential as powerful entrepreneurs. Don and Adam came together to found the website JustFab which became an instant success for fashion lovers around the world. JustFab became one of the most popular membership-based shopping websites in the world and the first of its kind and became the business model for additional brands to come. Once you sign up to be a member you take a quick quiz to give the stylist at JustFab a sense of your personal style. Based on that quiz on Zimbio, JustFab will send you outfit ideas to your inbox every month. You will you have until the 5th of the month to skip that month or make a purchase. If you do not skip the month your account will be charged $39.99, however that money can be used to make a purchase on the website at any time in the future. With the success of JustFab at their fingertips, Don and Adam took that success and his passion for fitness and decided to team up with Kate Hudson and launched Fabletics in October 2013. Fabletics, which is the same model as JustFab, became an instant success by offering fashionable, comfortable fitness clothes to its members. The success of Fabletics which was geared primarily towards women lead Don to see an opportunity to also break into the men’s market on huffingtonpost.com and the casual fitness clothes brand FL2 was born. In addition to JustFab and the fitness sites Ressler has a kids brand called JustKids. While the ecommerce business is a winning formula for Ressler, he also recognized the fact that many people still enjoy the in store shopping experience so in 2013, Fabletics opened the first flagship store in California.
It was under Ressler’s leadership that the company recently announced raising 85 million dollars in funding. While the company does not release their financial results, JustFab is valued at around 1 billion dollars. However Ressler does not plan on stopping there, he feels the company is position to grow to 5 billion in the next few years.
Don Ressler and Goldenberg are considered pioneers in the e- marketing business and the fashion world is looking forward to see what they have to offer next.
